1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the SnooShelf Chrome extension ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SnooShelf is a Chrome browser extension that provides enhanced organization, search, and management capabilities for Reddit saved posts and comments. The Service includes:

  • Synchronization of Reddit saved content
  • Organization tools (folders and tags)
  • Search and filtering capabilities
  • Data export features
  • Optional Pro subscription with additional features

3. User Accounts and Authentication

3.1 Reddit Authentication

  • You must have a valid Reddit account to use SnooShelf
  • You authorize SnooShelf to access your Reddit saved posts and comments through Reddit's official API
  • You can revoke this access at any time through the extension settings

3.2 Account Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Reddit account
  • You must not share your account credentials with others
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Subscription and Payment Terms

4.1 Free Trial

  • New users receive a 14-day free trial with access to all Pro features
  • No payment information is required to start the trial
  • The trial automatically expires after 14 days unless you purchase a Pro subscription

4.2 SnooShelf Pro Subscription

  • Pro subscription is billed monthly at $4.99 USD per month
  • Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe
  • Subscriptions automatically renew each month unless canceled
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time through Stripe's customer portal

4.3 Refunds

  • We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis within 30 days of purchase
  • To request a refund, contact us at hello@snooshelf.com
  • Refunds are processed through Stripe and may take 5-10 business days

4.4 Price Changes

  • We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days advance notice
  • Price changes will not affect your current billing cycle
  • Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Violate Reddit's Terms of Service or User Agreement
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the Service
  • Use the Service to spam, harass, or harm others
  • Attempt to bypass trial limitations or payment requirements
  • Share or resell your Pro subscription with others
  • Use automated tools to abuse the Service
  • Collect or store personal information about other users

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 SnooShelf Ownership

SnooShelf and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by SnooShelf and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The SnooShelf name, logo, and branding are trademarks of SnooShelf.

6.2 Your Content

  • You retain all rights to your Reddit saved content
  • By using the Service, you grant us permission to access and display your Reddit content within the extension
  • We do not claim ownership of your Reddit content

6.3 Reddit Content

  • All Reddit content remains the property of Reddit and its respective content creators
  • Use of Reddit content is subject to Reddit's Terms of Service

7. Data and Privacy

7.1 Data Storage

  • Your Reddit saves, folders, and tags are stored locally in your browser
  • We do not have access to your locally stored data
  • You can export or delete your data at any time

8. Service Availability

8.1 Service Modifications

  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time

8.2 No Warranty

  • The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind
  • We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements

8.3 Third-Party Dependencies

  • The Service relies on Reddit's API and other third-party services
  • We are not responsible for issues caused by third-party service disruptions
  • Reddit may change or restrict API access at any time

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
  • WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE
  • OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS
  • SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATION OF LIABILITY, SO THESE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SnooShelf, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Your violation of applicable laws or regulations

11. Termination

11.1 Termination by You

  • You may stop using the Service at any time
  • You can delete all data through the extension settings
  • Canceling your subscription does not automatically delete your data

11.2 Termination by Us

  • We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms
  • We may terminate the Service entirely with reasonable notice
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases

11.3 Effect of Termination

  • Upon termination, you must stop using the Service
  • Locally stored data will remain in your browser until you manually delete it
  • Subscription payments are non-refundable except as stated in Section 4.3

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia
  • Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Australia

12.2 Informal Resolution

  • Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at hello@snooshelf.com to resolve the dispute informally
  • We will attempt to resolve disputes in good faith

12.3 Arbitration

  • If informal resolution fails, disputes may be resolved through binding arbitration
  • You waive the right to participate in class-action lawsuits

13. General Provisions

13.1 Entire Agreement

  • These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and SnooShelf
  • These Terms supersede any prior agreements or understandings

13.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

13.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver.

13.4 Assignment

  • You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent
  • We may assign these Terms to any affiliate or successor

13.5 Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be effective when posted. We will notify you of material changes through:

  • Email notification (if you have a Pro subscription)
  • In-app notification
  • Notice on our website

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
